Genealogy Workshop
July 26, 9am to 3pm

Military History Researchers will have a chance to explore new tools for their research at this year’s annual genealogy workshop presented by the Butler Center for Arkansas Studies on Saturday, July 26, 2008 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Main Library in downtown Little Rock.

Ronnie Nichols, an artist, historian and owner of Nichols Consulting in North Potomac, Maryland, will conduct the workshop.

Over the past 15 years, Nichols has conducted workshops and professional research in genealogy. In 1997, he organized and founded the Arkansas Chapter of the Afro-American Genealogical and Historical Society. Nichols has more than 30 years experience in the museum field including former Director of the Delta Cultural Center (Helena) and The Old State House Museum (Little Rock). Nichols received notoriety when he served as a Technical Advisor for the Academy Award winning movie “Glory”.
